The Pebble Hills High School swim team went home victorious after the second swim meet of the year at the SISD Aquatic Center, Oct.29.

The team’s strength comes from consistency and dedication, which is upheld by both coaches and athletes, regardless of grade level.

“There’s not any specific swimmer that stands out,” coach Villegas said. “The freshmen swimmers are very impressive such as Alan Valdon due to his long history of swimming.”

The Spartans have a few practices to improve their technique before their upcoming meet where they hope to keep their winning streak going.

“We practice every day for two hours from 3-5,” said freshmen Valentina Rojas. “I think that really helps because we work on technique and sprints and distance and that prepares us for the meets.”

The Pebble Hills swim team will be back in action today at 5:30 p.m. at the S.A.C., where they will compete against Eastlake, Andres, Irvin, YWLA, Parkland, Ysleta, Bowie, and Riverside.
