The NJROTC partook in their Annual Military Inspection event on the football field Nov. 15.

The AMI is an exceedingly vital event for NJROTC. The event consisted of students from El Dorado, Montwood and Pebble Hills. They check their marching and ensure that the students know everything they must know such as their Chain of Command and their general  orders.

“Even though we only had one day of practice, I think we did very well with that short amount of time,” Stephanee Maldonado said. “In the future, I would like to have at least two to three practices and make sure everyone is on the same page with what is going to happen.”

Students received solid scores for their uniforms and content.

“I got a ten for having my uniform looking good and answering back correctly on the questions four questions they asked me,” Norma Montero said. “It feels pretty good [scoring a ten my first year] like it feels good because I like doing good because my dad is in the military too.”

“AMI went great this year, I feel that over the four years I’ve been doing it this has been the best,” Jefferey Anaya said. ” This year we would like to get ‘Most Outstanding Unit’ in Area 9 and we want to make history to get ‘Most Outstanding Unit’ in the nation”.

AMI results will be reported toward the end of the school year.
