Here we go again with another coffee spot for y’all. This time we toured a long way across El Paso to downtown, a very tourist and visited area, we visited ‘Coffee Box’ made out of shipment trailers, located around the San Jacinto Plaza, it was a colorful and vibrant shop.

The location is convenient if you are walking around the area, going for a coffee after a museum visit, it also includes an outdoor and indoor sitting area in the top trailer.

Their menu is wide in selection, having tea, hot and cold coffee, frappes, bubble tea, smoothies and pastries, such as danishes, bagels, macaroons, and muffins. We ordered the ‘Iced Coffee with hazelnut syrup,’ the ‘Iced Coffee with oatmilk and pumpkin syrup,’ and a cream cheese danish.

The coffee was not the best when it came to the strength of its flavor, although they did count with many options of coffee syrups. They have a small, medium and large option, all around the price range of $3 to $5.

But the size difference wasn’t all that noticeable.

The lounge on the top trailer is filled with tables and comfortable couch chairs, perfect to make it a hang out spot. As well as an outside area with tables where you can sit and look over the downtown area.

Coffee Box is opening a new shop close to our area soon, which will make it more accessible and easier to get there.

The downtown location has been beautifully painted and personalized by  Jesus ‘Cimi’ Alvarado and Blaster, titled ‘Coffee Box’ a colorful and vibrant ‘drip’ effect with a portrait of Frida Kahlo on the side of the trailer. Speaking of art, the leftover chalk from the annual Chalk the Block event was still there.

We decided to rate Coffee Box a 2.5 out of 5 coffees.
